👩🍳 Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides. Lightly spray parchment with non-stick spray.
-
2
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides.
-
3
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
-
4
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
-
5
Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and the center is set but still soft. Remove from oven.
-
6
While the cookie base is still warm, arrange the graham cracker pieces evenly over the top. Scatter the broken Hershey's chocolate bar pieces over the graham crackers.
-
7
Place the halved marshmallows (cut-side down) on top of the chocolate.
-
8
Turn your oven broiler to high. Place the baking pan on the top rack. Broil for 1-3 minutes, watching constantly, until marshmallows are puffed and golden brown. Do NOT walk away, as they can burn quickly.
-
9
Remove from oven and let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for 1-2 hours before lifting out with the parchment paper and slicing into squares. Cooling completely is crucial for clean cuts.
💡 Notes
For easier cutting, chill the bars in the refrigerator for 30 minutes after cooling. If you don't have a broiler, use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows. Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
