👩🍳 Instructions
-
1
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray, or line with parchment paper leaving an overhang. Set aside.
-
2
In a large bowl, place the crushed pretzels. Ensure you have a mix of fine crumbs and small pieces for best texture.
-
3
In a large pot or microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and mini marshmallows. Melt over low to medium heat on the stovetop, stirring constantly until smooth, or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted (approx. 1.5-2 minutes).
-
4
Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, strawberry jam, and optional red food coloring until well combined and the strawberry elements are evenly distributed.
-
5
Pour the warm marshmallow mixture over the crushed pretzels in the large bowl. Using a greased spatula, quickly fold and stir until all pretzels are thoroughly coated.
-
6
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Press down firmly and evenly with a greased spatula or the back of a spoon to create a compact layer.
-
7
Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature for 1-2 hours, or refrigerate for 30-45 minutes until firm. Once firm, lift from the pan using the parchment paper overhang (if used) and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve and enjoy!
💡 Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days. For easier cutting, lightly grease your knife with cooking spray. For a richer strawberry flavor, you can slightly increase the amount of freeze-dried strawberries.
